Daisy Dishes

These are my Poppy Trail Sculptured Daisy dishes that I started collecting in 1975 when Hubby & I married.  We registered our choices for our dishes at the jewelry store next door to my parents' shoe store.  We received enough pieces for several place setting at showers & wedding day gifts.  Through the years I have found more pieces in antiques malls & shops.
The popular colors for dishes, kitchenware & appliances in the 70's was green & gold.
These daisy dishes have both colors.
The Metlox Pottery Co.that made these dishes was founded in 1927.  Too bad they went out of business in 1988.

They are classics! I would think that they're highly collectible. If I ever see any on my travels...

You made such a darling choice of dinnerware when you married - it's precious. What fun you must have scouring flea markets, antique shops and thrift stores in search of the daisy dishes. Your photos brought back so many memories. -- Jan

Carol, your daisy dishes make a pretty statement! They also take me back in time. My best friend from childhood selected these when she married in the late 60s. A real blast from the past! I always thought they were such happy dishes.

I grew up eating off of these dishes on the holidays. I just recently inherited 2 sets of 10 place setting all the serving prices . I want to use them but feeling like I'm not supposed to lol
