Words That Inspire

“You are the light of the world.
A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket,
but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.
In the same way, let your light shine before others,
so that they may see your good works and
give glory to your Father who is in heaven.
Matthew 5:14-16 ESV

Spring Happenings

It's a beautiful day here in our city.
A couple of weeks ago we found these beauties at our favorite landscape & nursery, Southwood.
While we were there we noticed the wisteria were almost in bloom.
A few days later they posted this picture on Facebook.
GORGEOUS!
Our red bud tree was lovely this year.
The kids came over for Easter dinner.
It was raining so the egg hunt would happen indoors.
Soon after dinner Ethan started running a fever & felt miserable.
After a few hours he was taken to pediatric urgent care.  Poor little guy had strep throat.  By the time they came back to our house Emma was running a fever.  The next morning she went to the doctor.  She also had strep.  Bummer!

I will be blogging more so check back soon.
Thank you for stopping by today.

Girl Time

Tuesday was a fun time with Emma.
So, while her brother was at school we enjoyed a little "Girl Time".
She had fun painting this little bunny that I found at Target several weeks ago.
The 'baby' paint brush was thoroughly washed between paint color changes.

When I told her that her daddy was coming for lunch she said, "When daddy's here we'll have "Girl Time" and "Boy Time".  She's so sweet.
We even made up a song about "Girl Time'.  She wanted us to sing it for her mommy when she picked her up.

What a special time we had!
