This is a re post from last summer with a few edits & additions . . .

Sunshine on a stem . . .
The sunflower is one of my most favorite flowers.
Maybe it's because they represent the summer season.

Hi Carol! I have fresh ones on my kitchen counter right now...Paul picked them when he was out on his walk. The field behind our house is full of sunflowers and I love them. Lots of neat information you found.

Morning, Carol. We saw wonderful fields of sunflowers when we lived in North Dakota. I have a photo that I may have to find and frame. Take care.

I too, love sunflowers. I have some faux stems on my porch now. For some reason I can't get real ones to hold up as cut flowers. Do you know any tips?
Hugs, Ginger

I love Sunflower so much that I named my small cosmetic jewelry hobby after them: SunFlowerGypsy! I love the flowers because they make feel alive. I'm getting married in October and plan to have them in abundance at the wedding. Crazy thought: I want to grow my own for my wedding. Any suggestions?
