S~O~S . . .

Yesterday afternoon I made a trip to the 'mecca' of decorating & crafting . . .

Upon entering the door I was drawn to aisle after aisle of fabulous items for fall decorating! My heart started pounding! Oh my goodness, could I be experiencing
'Sensory Overload Syndrome'?
As I made my way down the aisles loaded with pumpkins, garlands, wreaths, pilgrims, jack-o-lanterns, scarecrows, & candles I knew I was indeed infected with
S.O.S.
Next I came upon the Christmas items. So many ornaments, Santa Claus figures, baskets, bows, wrapping paper, & pre~lit trees. I found the perfect 9 foot tree for our front room, too bad it was priced at $599.00 or I would have bought it on the spot!
After spending almost an hour walking all over the store I put my empty basket back where I found it & made my way to the car. It's always sad to leave Hobby Lobby empty handed, but that's what happens when I'm hit with
S.O.S.
'Sensory Overload Syndrome'
Maybe I'll go back when the tree is 1/2 off!
(Probably not!)
LOL

Carol, that happens to me too pretty often at HL. It helps me to see actual vignettes of pretty things rather than row after row of the parts. It's sometimes hard for me to envision what to do with all of it.

Seems like the older I get I am getting really picky when I go shopping or (should I say go Looking) at my favortie stores, Marshalls, TJ max and Ross. Once in a blue moon I find that to die for item that I can't pass up.

I haven't even been in our HL lately cause I usually spend too much money there! I really have ALL I need to decorate for ANY season so I am just staying out of there!!

We don't have any Hobby Lobby's in CA and maybe that's a good thing! I always go to HL when I'm in Denver visiting my mom though. I'll be in Denver in Oct and will head to HL a few times I'm sure...I love shopping there this time of year...but yes, SOS for sure!

I feel your S-O-S! I recently did the same thing. The sight of autumn decor excites me! What I love about autumn decorations is that they stay up for at least 3 months. I love Christmas, but it comes and goes so quickly! I feel as though I spend the entire holiday putting up and taking down.

I admire your strength at walking out empty handed!!!

Carol,
You make me want to go to Hobby Lobby. We have a new one not far away. I am just going to have to get someone to take me. I am ready to get my Fall things out.
