Cool Greens

I'm trying to beat the heat.
114 yesterday.
Same today.
Staying inside, drinking lots of water.

This morning I decided to do a tablescape in the kitchen with cooling green colors.
I found this vintage tablecloth at a garage sale a few years ago for $3.00.
It has a few holes & stains, but I don't mind.
cabbage pitcher
cabbage plates
A vintage food keeper filled with pickled cucumbers & onions.
 Tastes cool & refreshing.
Get the recipe here.
Thank you for stopping by today!
Hope you're staying cool!

So very pretty. It brings that fresh feel even when the outside is melting. Enjoy.

How sweet, Carol. You know I love your vintage tablecloth and all your dishes are just right. I have an olden refrigerator dish like yours.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

I am loving that tablecloth with your dishes. It's so summery and cheerful. I've got a couple of those vintage glass keepers and would love to have a few more. Sweet setting.

Hey Carol. I love my old table cloths with holes too. And here I thought I was the only one. I am staying in also. It is just as hot here in AR just a little ways from you. Take care.

Very pretty setting...I also have some vintage tablecloths (that I should use more often!!) and you have inspired me to use one tonight!

Everything about your tablescape looks so lovely and refreshing! Green is my favorite color, so I love the way you've used it here. And it all looks so COOL--perfect for these super-hot days!
