Target Love

I love shopping at Target!
There is a store VERY close to my house.  Too close in fact!  If I had to I could walk there in 10 minutes.
Are you like me, you have a list of a few things & before you know it your basket is loaded with all kinds of stuff?  That's what happened when Hubby & I went shopping at Target last night.  We only needed light bulbs, black beans, oatmeal & powdered sugar.  Hubby heads towards the light bulbs with a basket & I stop at the $ section with my basket before I look for the things on my list.  I found some very cute items for Easter.
paper plates & napkins
sprinkles & glittery spring shapes.

Next, I headed for the food section.  On the way there I pass the makeup section which jogs my memory that I need mascara & blush.  Instead of  continuing on to the food I decide to check out the Easter section at the back of the store.
Easter candy & grass went into my cart.
Hubby calls to find out where I am.
Finally I make it to the food section.  On the isle where the powdered sugar is I pass the icing & cake mixes.
Oh, yeah, I need some of that & cupcake liners.
Long story short.
With the extra stuff in Hubby's cart, our purchases came to over $100.
Yikes!
Did I mention I love shopping at Target?

Marching Forward

March is fast approaching.
The mantel is looking a little green for spring.
This reading fairy always makes me smile.
Antique books.
The red book reminds me of grade school.
Did you realize daylight savings time begins March 10th?
Yay!  I cannot wait for longer days of sunlight!

Review of the cream cheese banana bread recipe . . .
Delicious & yummy, great with coffee, tea, or a tall glass of milk!
Try it, you'll like it!

Tuesday Tidbits

Well, the snowstorm was a no show here in Tulsa.
We did get lots of rain which was much needed.
I know there are a lot of disappointed kids this morning.
I'm enjoying the scent of my new
Pumpkin Pie Spice candle.
You know what this means?
Yes, I'm making banana bread today.
I'm using this recipe from my

The last tidbit of the day.
Snow fun in Missouri.
This is my brother-in-law, Mike, posing with a giant snowman in front of the college library in their Missouri town.
They also saw this snow fort in front of the Baptist Student Union which is located across the street from campus.
It's still snowing there today.
Wow!

Thank you for stopping by today!
Hope your Tuesday is terrific!

Words That Inspire

Kindness is like snow~
it beautifies everything it covers.

And be ye kind one to another,
tenderhearted, forgiving one another,

What A Difference

Here are some recent photos of my sisters' yards.

Susan's front yard in Missouri this week.

Mary's front yard in Houston the first week of February.

What a difference 750 miles makes.

Our snow is almost gone.

Hope you're having a wonderful weekend.

New Candles

My new candles from Good Neighbors Candle Co. arrived Wednesday.
Becky was offering some good deals to Candle Club members.
I ordered some scents that I hadn't tried before,
Apple Cinnamon, Cinnamon Buns & Pumpkin Pie Spice.
She included an extra, Peppermint Mocha candle & a sample of the Citrus Soap that she will soon be selling.
I love surprises like that!
I also love the sweet little cards she includes in each order.
Thank you Becky for making a great product!
Today, I'll be enjoying the Cinnamon Buns candle.

Snowy Day . . . Finally

It finally happened!
Snow!
The white stuff started coming down early yesterday morning.
I snapped these pictures from my front step.
The view from the dining room window.
This is the view from the east kitchen window.
Beautiful landscapes.
The snow continued for several hours, I think we got around 3 inches.

Kari sent me these fun pictures of the kids enjoying the snow.
Oh, what fun!

During the night, thunder woke us up.
A clap of thunder sounded like a bomb going off & scared me to death.
Thunder & lightening, sleet & freezing rain continue.  Many schools are closed.
I love snow, but not ICE!
