No More M.E.M. . . .

I've been hearing for several months now
that Mary Engelbreit's
Home Companion Magazine
was ceasing publication.
Yesterday I received this in the mail.

I'm really sad!
I loved this magazine.
Each new issue I received was read
cover to cover, and
reread again.

I loved the different styles presented,
especially features about Mary's home.
Also, I enjoyed reading about the many
artists who showed their studios where
they created their particular art or craft.
I used to subscribe to Martha Stewart Living,
but didn't renew because I preferred
Home Companion.
Oh well, things change and I
must learn to adjust!

Thats such a shame! Its hard when you get used to something and really love it then have to part with it!

I'm sad about this too. It's almost like losing an old friend. Nothing can take the place of this magazine, it was so different! Now I wish I'd saved each issue intact instead of clipping things. A couple of months ago, I heard they were looking for a new publisher, but I guess they weren't able to find one. So sad.

Isn't it a shame that so many magazines are going by the way side? hugs ~lynne~

I'm sorry. Maybe the new subscription will be better than when you had it before.

I'm home again today and am really enjoying it.

I've had that type of thing happen to me, too. We are probably going to see many things change and take on a new form with our economy the way it is.

Hope you are greatly surprised and really like M.S.'s magazine.

I really love Mary Engelbrits magazine. This is sad news. I really don't subsribe to any magazines. The local libary is just around the corner. And they had a wonderful selection of magazines. I save money. But, I'm not supporting the magazines I guess maybe more people are cutting back their too. They are so expensive.
Hugs, Terrie

I feel the same way! I got the same notice the other day. I have subscribed to it since the premier issue. Losing something so comfy is not nice. Sigh. . .

Sniff...sniff...I got that same letter! I have never subscribed to Martha Stewart Living though, so maybe I'll enjoy it. I don't know cause I am SO NOT the Martha Stewart type with everything perfect, organized, etc!

That is a shame. Do you like 'Romantic Homes' too? I used to buy that one but I have such a collection stacking up around here...lol. Right now I'm getting Martha Stewart too. It is truly a wonderful publication, well thought out and researched.
