Thankful For Memories. . .

I've always been so thankful for my family. The memories I have of our family gathering around the Thanksgiving table are very precious to me. All those years growing up I took it for granted that my whole family was together. When you're young you never think that those good times are ever going to end. My parents & grandparents have been gone now for many years, it seems the older I get the more I miss them.

Okay, now that I've cried all over my keyboard I'll move on. Time to create some new traditions & memories! I have a plan floating around in my head for special Thanksgiving week decorations & bling. As soon as everything is finished I'll post pictures.

Enjoy your Thursday, see you tomorrow!

Memories light he corners of my mind. It takes quiet reflection to light all the nooks and crannies of our cluttered minds.
Mom had it down pat in how to fit everyone around her table. I am amazed how she fit 4 grandkids on her piano bench! Ha

I know what you mean, when you are a child you don't realize it. I have good memories of going to my grandmother's and Eric's grandmother's homes. I am hosting Thanksgiving this year and I am doing it up big! :0)

Have a great day!

I'm with you Carol, my Mom was in her glory on holidays with her family gathered around her. She never tired of it. But, I'm a lot like my Mom, so I try to fill her shoes a little bit.

I always miss family around the holidays, so I know what you are experiencing. I'm glad my husband comes from a large family. It sure makes up for my lack of family. laurie

Hi Carol.
What a precious painting of the little girl. I know how you feel about missing your parents. I do too.
