It took me a while yesterday to get started on my closet organizing project. I finally got busy around 2:00. I found some items that I had forgotten I had like a cute rooster clock & some neat decorative wall hooks that I bought a few years ago. I liked them a lot when I bought them, but at the time couldn't decide where to hang them. Guess what? I still don't know!! I'll have to give it some thought after the holidays. I found lots of candles & candle holders. I have a large selection of candles that I use on one of those candle warmers. Right now it's not being used in the kitchen, I must get it out so my kitchen smells like I've been baking even if I haven't!!
There are 5 large shelves in this hall closet. It's all organized & ready for holiday use. I will get see through tubs to replace the cardboard boxes when I see some good bargains.
Bottom shelf on the floor. Items not used often like white antique serving bowls, tea dispenser, Cuisinart ice cream maker, & sectioned serving basket are here.
The next shelf has other cooking & entertaining items, plus some large cake candles.
I made container labels for all the different kinds of candles I have. In the back on the left is the box for candle holders, on the right seasonal candles. I found a cute little pumpkin candle that I had forgotten I had! The big box of misc. candles sure came in handy last December when we had an ice storm & were without power for several days.
The next shelf is storage for large candle holders & serving pieces. I found some cute metal buckets that I had forgotten about. Also this is the place for baskets to use for buffet dinners & other occasions.
The very top shelf is where I'll easily find my Christmas glassware & large flower vases. I use the one with daisies in the summer to decorate the dining room table. My sister, Mary, helped me make it 3 years ago for Bobby & Kari's rehearsal dinner. I think it's due an update next summer!
By the way, the 'chunky potato soup' was wonderfully delicious! You all should try it!

Labeled and everything! Wow. I'm jealous. Looks great.
Super job! Love the label idea. You should display the green hurricanes for Fall. They are too gorgeous to be in the closet! :)
You seem very organized...something I have never been...LOL.
Blessings,
Robin
If I ever started to get organized I would have to give up blogging. Maybe, I could just do a little at a time. If I was organized, I wouldn't be searching high and low for all my craft necessities! It would be great to be organized! There is always tomorrow!
