Cold weather has arrived in Oklahoma. It was sunny yesterday, but very windy & cold. These frigid temperatures prompted my to put away my warm weather clothes & get out the warm & cozy attire. Of course this meant I had to do a total cleaning & reorganizing of our closet. If you've been reading my blog you know I enjoy purging, sorting, & organizing. So, I turned the TV to the Christmas music channel & got down to business. The holiday music was motivating! I probably worked for more than 4 hours. (Don't worry, I did take a break to eat lunch & rest a little!)
Whew!!! Oh, my aching back & shoulders!!! Climbing up & down the step ladder & lifting large storage tubs onto the high shelves did a number on me. You should have been there, I was talking to myself out loud saying things like, "Come on muscles, you can do it!" & "Lift it up Miss Fatty!" I'm sure Tylenol will fix me up. Oh yes, I now have a huge black trash bag to take to Goodwill. It is so nice to walk into that closet & know exactly where everything is. Let's just see how long it stays that way! LOL ;0)
Stay warm friends. . .

I love to do get major projects like that accomplished. It's such a good feeling!
27 degrees here this morning. Definitely time to break out the heavy coats. :)
Gee Will Akers Miss Landers, How inspiring! If we were 10 years younger we could start a business organizing messy people. Ha
I have great plans on my day off today getting a weeks worth of work in one day.
Enjoy your day and keep those aching bones warm.
Love
M
I bet you feel so accomplished now! I need to do some organizing of a few cupboards this weekend.
Hi Carol...well, I was going to organize my closets today, but after reading how pooped you are from it...I give up...LOL...just kidding, I wasn't really going to do it... ;-) Bo
It sounds like it was a very productive day, even though you're a bit achy now. At least, you'll have the sweaters close at hand now.
Great job on getting one big project out of the way! :)
Carol, You are so cute. Miss Fatty...Lol..!
Thanks for visiting my red tree. As always you are so kind. Have a great day and stay warm. ~Melissa
I admire you for being so organized. I am in my mind. :)
Hugs,
Chris

I was not ready for what I woke up to this morning - SNOW. I live in PA. I had no idea they were calling for snow. It didn't stop unitl lunch time, I couldn't believe it!
Hello Carol and thanks so much for visiting me!!
I like to clear out and staighten up too but my back is bad so I have to go slowly. My 22 year old son would tease me if I put on Christmas music. I bought the Celtic Women Christmas CD and wanted to hear it yesterday. He teased me all afternoon. (all in good fun)
My dad was born in Oklahoma and my aunt still lives there. My mom now has the oil right there and it would be nice if natural gas became popular!! LOL
I am off to Target, and Ikea today so like your outing the other day I am off today!!
Blessings Carol!!! Miss Paula
I love days when I'm "on" and productive. I just went thru the house and gathered up coats that we no longer wear - to give away! ♥
It is cold here too! I went and bought a down jacket today....my old age is showing...it is no longer about the style as much as the comfort! lol
I am doing some major cleaning here too...
Cleaning closets will be my next project once the Christmas decorating is done. I know what you mean it's a lot of work. But, it feel so good when it's done! Well. I mainly need to iron everything that I just hung in there since I've hurt my shoulder. I hate having clothes hanging in my closet that aren't pressed. Wish me luck!!!
