Easy Recipe . . .

I'm sharing my easy recipe for guacamole.

* 3 main ingredients *
avocados
lemon juice
fresh salsa from Sam's

generously squeeze lemon juice over avocado
salt & pepper to taste

add about 1/2 cup salsa

no chips, no problem, enjoy your guacamole with crackers

I'm challenging myself to cook my way through
the PW cookbook.

Starting next Tuesday I'm going to tell you how my first recipe turned out.
You'll have to wait until next week to see what I decided to make.
I'm joining Denise @ http://densdailylife.blogspot.com/ as she cooks her way through PW Cooks.
She's starting the cooking challenge today so hop over
to check it out. Tell her I sent you!!

Avocados are one of my weaknesses and this sounds like a great recipe.

I'm a big fan of PW and her down-home recipes but some of her recipes are getting a little too fancy for my family (i.e. Bronzed Lemon Sea Bass w/ Lemon Shallot Butter). I just checked my copy of her cookbook to see if our 2 favorite recipes are in there and they're NOT! Check her website for MM's Second Favorite Sandwich (http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2007/06/marlboro_mans_s/) and her Apple Dumplings (http://thepioneerwoman.com/cooking/2008/02/apple_dumplings/). Both are to-die-for wonderful. Um - I may have to make those dumplings tonight.

Have fun cooking your way through the book!

I love guacamole! This is how I make mine. Think I'll make some tonight!
Good luck on cooking your way through the PW's cookbook. Maybe you can write a book and then a movie will be made called: Carol and PW! :)
Thanks for popping in to see me.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Yummy! Guacamole...one of my very favorites.

I just love my PW cookbook. I haven't cooked a lot out of it yet. I love the pictures and the step-by-step directions.

Sherry is keeping me updated with our April 17 plans.
I've never been to that area and am super excited.
That's too funny about what your husband said. Heck, he can come along too. :)

Have a blessed Easter Carol.
I know it'll be so much fun with little Ethan.

Love to you and your family,
Valerie
