Rain, Rain, Go Away . . .

The rain just keeps on falling.
It looks like our plans to work
in our flower beds on Saturday
will have to wait.
We are going to plant red & white geraniums.

We have decided to plant a vegetable garden this year. I guess you could say it's our version of a 21st century victory garden. Hopefully we'll grow enough vegetables for ourselves, family, & friends. Years ago we grew a large garden & enjoyed it so much we wanted to try it again. Our plan is to grow several varieties of tomatoes, squash, zucinni, & cucumbers. We've already tilled up a small area in the back yard. As soon as it dries out we can get down to business!

Can't believe it's the last day of April!
Enjoy the day!

I'm growing webbed feet! My yard is a jungle. The rain is such a blessing but some sun would be really great about now.

You know those geraniums are my favorite. :)

Time certainly does fly.

It is cloudy today but no rain so far.

Nothing better than home grown vegies. I remember Grandma B's garden. Although as a kid I didn't like working, picking and gathering the food. I would love it now.
Here's to the weekend!
Love you

Talk about RAIN!!!! We got about 4 1/2 inches yesterday and South of us only about 15 miles got 13 inches of rain! Flooding EVERYWHERE! Today everything around our town looks fine. We definietly needed some rain but it could have come down a bit slower.

I have never grown a garden and would LOVE to someday.

Good luck with your veggie garden. We could use a 'little' rain here.
