Saturday Outing & Peaches

Saturday afternoon Hubby & I made a little trip to Porter, Ok
in search of peaches.
We have been buying peaches at Livesay Orchards for several years.
Click on picture for link to info about Livesay Orchards.
They weren't too busy, so it was easy to shop & sample the different
varieties of peaches.  The annual Porter Peach Festival is
July 19, 20, 21.  We have attended a few times & you
have to stand in line to buy peaches.
We brought home a 1/2 bushel of
mini scarlet prince peaches.
Sweet & delicious!
Sunday afternoon I baked a recipe I found on Pinterest.
Mini Peach Cobblers
Mini peach cobblers, Must try with other fruits too! I just made these and they are awesome and easy!

Mini Peach Cobblers
 a bite-sized summer treat.

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
Dash of salt
3/4 cup milk
1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, melted
Brown sugar
Cinnamon
1 can peaches, diced
(I used about 4 fresh peaches)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Put 1 teaspoon of melted butter into each regular size muffin tin.
With a wooden spoon stir together the sugar, flour, baking powder, salt and milk.
Put 2 tablespoons of batter into each muffin tin.
Add 1 tablespoon diced peaches on top of the batter.
Sprinkle with brown sugar and then cinnamon.
Bake for 12 minutes.
Let them cool almost completely before taking out of pan.
Use a butter knife to loosen the edges to lift them out.

Looks good!
It was good!
I wonder how long it will take Hubby to make them disappear?

We have a 30% chance of rain today,
fingers crossed!

Sounds peachy. I can guess that Bob will have no trouble making the mini cobblers disappear quickly.

There's nothing quite like a fresh peach from Porter! And those mini peach cobblers looks delicious. I'll bet they'll be gone in the blink of an eye. Here's hoping we get some rain today.

Sounds like fun and your mini cobblers looked so yummy! You get peaches a lot earlier there. Peaches aren't available in the local orchards until late August or early September.
