Vacation Recap . . .

Our vacation to

was fun and relaxing.

We always enjoy spending time in Branson.
Usually this time of year the temperatures are warm and mild.
The heat index was around 106, very extreme!
We decided to skip our visit to Silver Dollar City and come back before Christmas to
see the decorations and lights.

Our favorite place to stay!

Lots of great places to shop!

Bobby, Ethan, and Kari
in the gigantic rocker at Grand Village.

Papaw and Ethan at
the Butterfly Palace.

First pizza experience for Ethan.

Also his first swim.

On the way home Friday we visited
Laura Ingalls Wilder's
home in Mansfield, MO.
Ethan wasn't interested in taking the tour
so he chilled in the car with us.

We stopped at McDonalds in Seymour, Mo.
We were so surprised to see several Amish
buggies on the road.
This couple was leaving as we arrived.
The woman is holding a baby.
No car seat here!

Now he's giving her an ice-cream cone.

Ready to head home.

Hope you're ready to enjoy your 4th of July weekend!

I think we are certainly kindred spirits, Carol.:) This is a vacation I would love to go on! We have never been to Branson, but would love to go!--And to be on vacation with little Ethan...how fun!! The Amish fascinate me. My brother and sil in Indiana live near many Amish families and they have hitching posts all around their little town.
Welcome back from your vacation! Have a great July 4th weekend!

Hugs,
Linda

We went to Branson at the end of May and had the best time! May have to check out the Butterfly Palace the next time we go.

Glad you had a good time.
I know from experience how wonderful it is to have Grandparents go on vacation with you when you have young ones. I am sure Ethan, and his mommy and daddy, were happy to share this time.

Hi Carol! I popped over from Becky K's blog. I love your Bio! I have spent most of my midwest time in Nebraska. Although I have been to Missouri, I have never gotten to Branson. It looks like so much fun. And, I would love to visit Laura's historic home.

I just became Nana KJ thanks to my 3 month old grandson, Caleb. Isn't it divine?

Thanks for a nice visit!
