Faux Shopping . . .

When I was a teenager I
liked to do pretend shopping from the
JC Penney & Sears catalogs.
My sister & I called it 'pick'.

As we turned the pages we
would guess which item the other
person liked best.

Don't you love these 70s styles?

Large collars & empire waist lines.

Short hemlines were popular.

These Neiman Marcus catalogs arrived
in the mail this week.

Do you like the diamond key necklaces
ranging in price from $575 to $1,600
or the sterling silver plated brass chain accessories
with Swarovski crystal detail?

I
pick the $1,495 silver Gucci bag from this page!

Faux shopping is fun & very easy on the budget!

Receiving a Sear, Penneys, Spiegel of Aldens catalog in the mail was a BIG deal when I was a kid. I would look through it and often circle all the things I liked. Hours of fun!

What a fun memory! I used to love looking at all the clothes in the Sears catalog.
And catalogs at Christmastime----we spent hours making our lists and cutting out pictures.
