Cabin Fever Fun . . .

Here are a few of the fun things we did last week to deal with our cabin fever.
#1
watched this giant icicle grow larger . . .

I haven't seen an icicle this big in years.

At night with the deck light shining on the icicle it glowed like a neon light.
Monday morning the icicle fell to the ground after a few hours of sunshine.

#2
played the piano . . .

Ethan & his Mommy & Daddy stayed with us, which made the days lots of fun.

#3
played in the snow . . .

We let Ethan play with a bowl of snow.

a mini snowball . . .

#4
made snow ice-cream . . .

Kari had a great idea to make snow ice-cream . . .

start with 16 cups of snow . . .

add vanilla, sugar, & milk . . .

drizzle with chocolate syrup & eat . . .
Yummy!

Having that Ethan there made the otherwise yucky time wonderful. You just can not get enough of those sugar kisses and hugs from little ones.

I bet you enjoyed having Ethan there. He is getting so big. I LOVE the icicle in the dark...gorgeous!! Hope you are thawing out. I was watching the news earlier and boy were there a lot of wrecks this morning. The ice and snow melted some last night and froze over again causing chaos in the Northern part of the state.

Enjoy your day.♥

Finally thawing out. :) We have enjoyed the big freeze but I have probably gained 5 lbs.

Looks y'all had a wonderful time. I'm so glad.

How big Ethan is getting, and quite the handsome little guy!
Being a northerner, your icicle pictures and comments were hilarious to me. Too bad I didn't take a pic of a MONSTER one we had a while back before the January thaw. It would have killed someone if it fell on them!

Sounds like you guys had a lot of fun! Little Ethan is just a doll. Wow, I have never heard of snow ice cream. Thanks for the recipe. If we get any snow here this year, maybe we will try it! Have a great day! Elena

What a cute baby boy! It has been a cold Winter! We are not use to that in East Texas. No ice thus far this year...thats a Blessing although I could use a snowday from school :)

I love that you had "guests" during the storm. In the big blizzard of 1992 we stayed with cousins because our heat went out and we had two tiny boys at the time. It was so much fun.
