It Could Be Worse . . .

The ice storm continues here in NE Oklahoma.
Thankfully we still have power.
Yesterday evening the lights flickered several
times so we rushed around to put candles
and kerosene lanterns in place.
Here are some pictures from one of our
local TV channels that were sent in by viewers.

We're expecting about 6 inches of snow today.
Hopefully I'll be able to take a few pictures today
and post them tomorrow.
To all my Okie friends, hope you're safe and warm.

G'morning to you in Oklahoma..Hope you are staying warm.
I live in West Texas and posted some snow and ice shots today. Come by and see them if you have time. I'm not sure if we have more snow on the way..need to check. We stocked in lots of groceries...just in case!!

O, and thank you for taking my cow "thank you" button. I'm so glad you liked it. Those are such fun to make.

Stay warm...

Dang! We only see images like this on the news, unless my husband runs the sprinkler for us over night when we are going to have a freeze! Stay safe and warm..

It got here in our part of Arkansas last night around 10:00 and it sleeted all night . This morning about 8:00 we are having snow. They said it could be worse here to, but with more snow.

As an Okie resident I am warm, dry and with power....but so many people close by are without power. Our pastor called us this morning looking for wood for some people whose power was out...gave him some names of people who I thought might have extra.

We have lots of ice, sleet and now it is snowing real hard here in central part of the state.

God is giving us moisture - for that I praise his name.

Enjoy the weekend.

Hi Carol,

Looks like the ice hit you pretty hard but so glad you have kept power. It started snowing here at about 10:00 a.m. and is coming right down. Thankfully, the ice missed us this time.♥

We are in SE OK and had power out for 3 hours last night and 3 hours this morning. Lots of ice but now we are getting snow. So far, we are doing okay but thousands are without power in nearby areas.

I've talked to most of my family who live in Tulsa - they have elec at this point. Fingers crossed that all of you keep your power. The ice is beautiful, but I lived there a long time and fully understand how dangerous it can be. Hope you get some warmer temps soon.

We're fine and thank God we still have electricity.
My sister lives in Sulphur and lost her power yesterday evening. They have generator.
We do too.....after the 2007 storm and being w/out power for 7 days, hubby was prepared this time.
We probably got 6 inches of snow today.
We had stew and cornbread and it really hit the spot.
Stay safe and warm!
Love,
Valerie

Stay warm and be safe Carol! Brrr...that looks so cold.

Thank you for entering my Spring giveaway sweet friend! You never know some cheer could be headed your way next week.

I'm so happy that the BOTW feature worked and you had some new kind visitors. I wasn't sure until you told me that you liked it that anyone even had noticed it. I really appreciate your kind words.

~Blessings, ~Melissa :)

We live almost to the KS line and somehow most of the ice missed us. We did get quite a bit of snow though. Whenever there's a lot of thick cloud cover our internet satellite goes down. Finally the clouds broke late this a.m. so everything is good now - well, except the roads to the highway.

Glad to hear you made it through the storm. It seemed to go coast to coast and luckily it went south of us! That was close!
