Trading Places

So, here's the story behind this picture . . .
Before my sister & brother-in-law headed home Sunday they helped me unload & move the antique cabinets in our kitchen eating area.
The cabinets had been in these positions since we moved in 8 years ago.
A few months ago I got the notion to switch the cabinets.
My reasoning was the shelves of the green/blue cabinet would be more visible when you walk into our living room/kitchen area.
It's still too hot to get the fall decorations out of the attic so I just used what I could find in cabinets.

Susan gave me a autumn floral bush & burlap ribbon that she bought in Missouri at a Hobby Lobby.
This cute tag was on the candle that Susan gave me.
Cook books are inside the top shelves, small appliances, place mats & napkins are below.
Susan also gave me this vintage orange bowl she found at an antique shop in Missouri.
She also gave me another treasure she found.  I'll show you what it is another time.
It's still hot & humid, but getting a few Autumn touches in the kitchen helps make it feel like fall.

Looks fantastic Carol. Don't you love it when ideas like that come to you and they work out? It's so hot here too. Not sure if Fall is coming or not. :)

By the way, John and Cheryl were here last weekend. We love them so much.

Looking fantastic! Isn't it amazing how switching a couple of items around freshens the entire space? You must be pleased with the results. Love the look of your blog, too. What a great background!
