Summer's First Harvest . . .

Our 'Victory Garden 2009'
is growing & thriving.

We picked our first okra harvest on Saturday.
Count 'em, 8 okra spears!
Just enough to fry up for a yummy side
dish for tonight's supper.

What a bumper crop! No really I think it is great that you guys put a garden in this summer. You have always loved your gardens in the past. Keep up the weed picking.

Yummy! My favorite. Well, I say that about all the great veggies. We've had new potatoes, squash, onions, beets & one little cucumber.....but no okra yet.
I can't wait for okra and tomatoes!
Your okra made me so hungry for it. I know it was good!
