Whatever you do or say, let it be as a
representative of the Lord Jesus,
and come with him into the presence
of God the Father to give him your thanks.
Colossians 3:17
In the middle of a difficult day when you're feeling most hard-pressed that's the time to give God thanks. Perhaps you're at work dealing with disgruntled coworkers or customers . . . or at home, dealing with belligerent children. Instead of giving up in despair, thank God for the opportunity you've been given to exhibit His love. Then take a moment to look into their faces and give thanks for them.
Giving thanks for people who sometimes cause you problems increases your appreciation for each person as God's totally unique creation. It's a reminder that even the difficult people around you have been places on this earth to fulfill a God-given destiny and are, therefore, precious in His eyes.

Carol,
Thank you for the wonderful reminder! I will be remembering it this week at work. Had steak and twice baked potatoes at Cheryl and John's last night. It was yummy! I wish Cheryl would come back into the folds of the blogging world! She is so inspiring!
Hugs,
Cindy
