Well, I had high hopes & expectations Saturday morning when I went garage sale shopping with Bob & Kari. I am looking for items to paint with chalkboard paint & other things that I can re purpose & use in general for the home. I had been disappointed earlier in the week when I stopped by Goodwill & didn't see anything that I could use. There really wasn't much there at all! Anyhoo, I didn't find one single thing during our Saturday morning adventure. Kari found some nice things for their home, throw rugs, a basket, & a salad spinner. Bob even walked away with a hose reel & a nearly new smoker for Bobby & Kari's house. He's going to teach Bobby the art of smoking meat!
When we got home Kari found an over sized chair & ottoman with a fold out bed on Craig's list. We all hopped in the pickup & went to check it out. The girl wanted $100.00, but was willing to sell it for $80.00. Great bargain!
One of the ladies that was having a garage sale on Saturday gave us a flier about an indoor estate sale that she's having starting Thursday morning at 7:00. I'm hoping Kari & I can check it out. I'm determined to find some great things for my chalkboard painting project!

Sounds like fun. I don't go to garage sales. We live in a small town and items aren't all that great. Besides, my hubs would kill me if I brought anything home without getting rid of something else first! :)
Hope you find what you're looking for.
I know you had a good time..Craigs List has some dandy bargins..
Hi Carol! Sounds like you found some good deals! I haven't started going to garage sales, although I love Goodwill and seem to have pretty good luck there. I'm sure there are bargains to be had, but I'm just too lazy to get up early and drive all over creation...too much like what I had to do when I was working!! lol Have a great week!...Debbie
I do hope you find your treasures this weekend!
Love your new header.

I love your new blog picture!
Hope you had a great day!
Love,

Carol, I am like Sherry, most things around here in garage sales, you would not want.
It is fun to go when I have a chance to go to a larger city and check out Goodwill, etc.
Hope you find what you are looking for....Happy Shopping

Hope you are able to find some things you want. I have several things I want to spray paint but the wind doesn't want to seem to let up! That has been fine though for Lexi's ballgames cause it isn't so hot sitting out there.
Hope you are having a wonderful week!♥
Good luck. I love to go yard sale shopping - you never know what you'll find.
I love garage sales!!!
Hi Carol...it does seem like some people are "cheating the trashcan" sometimes with the stuff they put out for their garage sales, doesn't it? But still, the thrill of the hunt makes it worth it!
Thanks so much for coming by my blog! ;-) Bo
Love your blog header! I want to just walk down that street! Good luck at the Estate Sale! The Craigslist buy sounds fabulous. Sorry you weren't as lucky as she was! laurie
