Thanks~living . . .

O Lord my God,
I will give you thanks forever.
Psalm 10:12 NIV

Life is full of things to be grateful for ~ small acts of kindness and generosity, words of hope and encouragement, gifts of love and caring. Look around you and see how many you can count in just a few moments.

Perhaps on you drive down the street you passed a tree full of lovely spring blossoms. Or one of your friends sent you a thoughtful card. Or your spouse gave you a long embrace before leaving the house.

A thankful heart takes time to notice those small, precious gifts. Are you thankful for the little things that come your way? Why don't you let God know.

Thanksgiving is good but
thanks~living is better.

This reminds me of the 30 days of contentment therapy that I did in November with a fellow blogger...thanks for the reminder!

Carol, what a wonderful thought..thanks-living. I will try to carry that with me every day.
The redbud tree is beautiful.

Oh, goodness, Ethan is so cute and he looks so happy and content. I know you are as proud as a peacock.

I am more aware every day of God's blessings in my life. Just yesterday we were able to help our kids with a major upcoming automotive swap meet our SIL is having. His parents were there helping too. We went to lunch together then finished the work and later went to our SIL's Grandmother's pond to fish. It was so much fun. On our way home there was the prettiest sunset. Hubby was going about 70 miles an hour and rolled down his window, but I couldn't capture the true beauty of that scene, but I did stop to thank my God. He delights me often like that.
Thanks for the reminder. I like that too.....thanks-living.
I appreciate the sweet comments about my Chicago trip. I'm so behind on reading my favorite blogs because of trying to post about our trip each evening.
Have a great Sun.
Love,
Valerie

Hi Carol~ I'm so glad that you came down the path from Elena's backdoor to mine:) Welcome!

I was reading your profile and thought that I was reading my own! Except for the number of children, it looks like we have a lot in common:)

And yes- I share your struggle with weight--ugh!
I do like WW and have been on it on and off over the years too.

I scroll down and met your new little grandson Ethan. What a sweetheart!

Isn't it just the best- this grandma stuff?! I love it! We have 2 grands now --as you can see on my blog:)

I just talked to Ben and Lisa tonight and I think they are at that overwhelmed stage right now- running on little sleep and baby has her days and nights mixed up.

Anyway, I hope you by again real soon. I am adding you to my bloglist if that is ok:)

Have a good rest of the week!
