You may think of benevolence only in terms of giving money, but there is much more to it than that. Benevolence is simply showing kindness; and in many cases, it is more a matter of opening your heart than your wallet.
In an age of hardness and cruelty, practicing benevolence is more difficult, but also more crucial. So many people are suffering for lack of a helping hand. Give to others with the same open-handed freedom that God has given to you. Do it out of your love for Him and in a spirit of thankfulness for what you have received from Him. He will bless you for it many times over.

Yesterday morning Bobby and I did some Christmas shopping then we picked up Kari for lunch. After enjoying a scrumptious meal at Zio's we hit a few more stores. I'm happy to report that my gift list is growing shorter! Almost finished with store shopping, but still have several homespun gifts to work on.
Yesterday I monogrammed Ethan's stocking. I had to take off the white furry cuff to do the monogram & then reattach. I also took off the loop & added a blue ribbon loop.
Yesterday morning I jumped right in & started making a purse/tote for Little E. . .

People say they want to make their own decisions, set their own course. But being a decision maker can be tough. After all, the world is constantly changing. You may have a lead on the past and the present, but the future is anyone's guess.
Unless. . . you happen to know the One who knows the future. No ~ He isn't the great fortuneteller in the sky,but He will give you the wisdom you need to make good choices. He will show you timeless principles in the Bible and lead you to wise people who can help you put things into proper perspective. And when you've made the right decision, He'll fill your heart with His peace.
