I'm so excited that I get to see these cuties Thursday evening!

They're coming to Oklahoma from Houston for a family wedding.

My great nieces . . . 

2 year old Iris

11 month old Madison

5 year old Elise

I haven't seen Elise since she was one & I've never met Iris & Madison.

Oh, I'm also excited to see their parents & grandparents, too!

Tool Box Repurpose

Happy Monday, everyone!

I had such a fun weekend with my daughter-in-law & grandkids.

Today, I'm resting up for the busy week ahead.

I'll fill you in on what's going on around here in tomorrow's post.

Just because I'm resting doesn't mean I just laying around doing nothing.

Two weeks ago I posted some of my favorite pins from Pinterest.

I love this repurposed toolbox.

I had a smaller version of the toolbox in my garage that was filled with junk for stapling & hammering projects. I brought it in & cleaned it up.  I haven't painted it yet because I'm not sure what color I want to use.

Here it is filled with books for the grandkids.

The other side is filled with markers & crayons.

The reading hoot owl & frog like to hang out in the reading corner.

They're excited about a new addition to the reading corner that will be arriving in a few days.

Storms, Sleeping & Shopping

Kari & the kids had a sleepover with we me last night.
Before we ate dinner we went shopping at the new Sprouts store around the corner.

They just opened on Wednesday.  It was super crowded.
That was an experience.  I'm so looking forward to shopping there for organic & fresh food.

Late last night we had storms in our state.

Thankfully, we only got thunderstorms.

Ethan slept well on the queen sized air mattress at the foot of my bed.

This morning our garage sale shopping was a bust.
Hardly anyone was having a garage sale.
We had better luck shopping at our favorite store, Target.

April Showers Chalkboard Printable

Several weeks ago I decided I wanted some real green in this planter, but I didn't want to fill it with dirt.

I placed a glass filled with water in the urn & a few clippings from a house plant.

Over the weeks they have grown & thrived.

I cut clippings from two plants that were in my classroom.

This morning I put some clippings in one of the pitchers I bought last weekend.

I think it will grow fast in my kitchen window.

This is what this wall hook looked like during the Christmas season.

Junkin' At River City

Our last shopping stop on Saturday was River City Trading Co. in Jenks.

I was about to run out of energy & money, but I did find a few things to put in my cart.

This heavy vintage tray was $1.75.

It's chippy & rusty.

Do you think I should leave it this way or paint it with chalk board paint?

This rail basket was $10.00.  I bought the liner at Walmart for $3.84.

I wanted to fill it with flowers on Sunday, but I had to wait because of the freezing night time temps we were expecting.  Last night we broke a record for low temp in April, 32 degrees.

I am so ready for warmer weather.

This unique skinny olive dish caught my eye.

It was made in Portugal & is numbered.

Susan's favorite find was this old shopping cart/basket.

She's going to use it on her patio for flowers.

Our whirlwind day of antique, junk shopping was so much fun.

We held true to our motto, "Shop til you drop!"

Can't wait to do it again.

Shopping At The Promise Land

After lunch on Saturday, the guys headed to Stillwater for the football spring scrimmage & Susan & I continued our antique shopping in Pawhuska.

We discovered the Promise Land Antique Mall in October.

You never know what you'll find in this shop.

I found several items that I had to bring home.

I saw this $3.00 sheet music on their Facebook page & fell in love with the graphic.
