I'm sure you've heard the old saying "If you don't like the weather in (insert the state here), then wait a few minutes." Actually, that phrase was coined by Oklahoma's Will Rogers, who was of Cherokee heritage and was talking about Oklahoma's turbulent weather. People like him only come around once in a great, great while. We could use somebody like him these days.

That comment is definitely for Michigan! Monday 40 degrees, Tuesday 8 inches of snow, Wed. rain and today it's sunny! LOL!
So true! I didn't realize Will Rogers said that! I learned something today.
I can feel your pain. Two days ago we were wearing shorts/t-shirts at work. Today we are bundled up from head to toe.
What happen? It was in the 70 just two days ago. Now snow.

Loved Will Rogers, and he was quoted as saying his ancestors didn't come over on the Mayflower, but they met it.
Love your blog and just had to stop and say hi.

I have heard that statement many times as my in-laws are from Oklahoma but I did not know who coined the phrase until now! I'll have to ask my father-in-law if he knows that. He is 1/4 Cherokee and I wonder if he knows that Will Rogers was part Cherokee? Have a great day, Carol! Love, Elena
I guess we are all having the same crazy weather! It was cold today! I saw James Whitmore play Will Rogers in a one man play at Ford's Theatre years ago.

The weather has just been crazy! Sunday was so beautiful and close to 80 degrees. I had on flip flops & short sleeves.
Today I wore a sweater and boots. :)
We didn't get any snow, but my hubby said it snowed in OKC.
I'm ready for sunshine and spring!
Oh my gosh, snow? The weather in March can be so strange some times. In PA we have been on a roller coaster of weather the last week ranging from 60 degrees to 15 degrees. Spring is coming though! Amy
