Kitchen Comforts For A New Season

When Autumn arrives my thoughts turn toward home comforts.  I spent a little time this morning adding items to my kitchen island.
You may have noticed that those bananas are ready to be baked into bread.
I clipped this recipe, handwritten by my Mother, onto this old rusty spring.  Chicken & Dressing Casserole sounds perfect for a hearty meal.
I have many of my Mother's recipes in this hand painted box that we received as a wedding gift 38 years ago.
I put some cookbooks in this wire basket for cooking inspiration.
The coffee station is ready for brewing coffee or making cocoa.
My kitchen is ready for a new season!

Autumn arrives in 2 days!

Your kitchen looks ready to welcome the fall season. How nice to have so many of your mom's handwritten recipe cards and I like the creative way you displayed one of them.

Your kitchen looks wonderful, if my kitchen is clean I feel my house is clean. ~smile. The hand written recipes of your mother's is priceless.
Enjoyed your note cards, I missed the party this month.
Thanks for sharing.
Hugs,
Sue

Carol, I love the idea of the recipe card on the spring. I love the hand-written recipes of my Mother's that I have. There is something about seeing her hand writing that just makes me feel that she is close by, watching me cook one of her dishes. The wire basket, filled with cookbooks is a great idea. Have a good weekend. laurie
