Waiting . . .

It won't be long now!
Ethan Asher is due to make his
grand appearance in 13 days!
Kari went to the doctor yesterday & all is well.
His little head is down in the right position.
Now we wait!
Every time the phone rings I think,
"This could be it!"
I'm keeping my camera battery
charged & ready to go!

Today I'm going to get my Nana tote bag
filled with goodies for the hospital waiting room.
I'm going to include some
snacks, magazines, and other items
for our family & friends
who come to wait for Ethan's arrival.
Do you have any suggestions for my
" Nana In Waiting Bag"?

Goodmorning Nana! having gone through the waiting game. I have a few suggestions for the hospital bag. If the waiting is during the night. the following is a must.
comfy warm cloths
pillow
money for the vending machines
fun magazines
Don't forget "A Watched Pot Never Boils"
Happy Waiting

I remember the excitement of the birth of all four of my grandchildren! Grandchildren are such an amazing journey. I suggest some change for vending machines for your "waiting room" bag. Enjoy! laurie

How exciting for you. The only thing I would say is just to make sure your cell phone battery and camera battery are fully charged.
And lots of snacks!!! When my grandson was born last March..my d.i.l was a month early. They were painting the nursery and her water broke. My son called me and I had hair dye on my hair...so I washed it off, threw some clothes in a suitcase and got on the road for the 2 1/2 hour drive to Vegas. I was so afraid I was going to miss the birth...but I made it in plenty of time.
Keep us posted.

A Nana tote bag is a wonderful idea! I sat in the hospital while my best friend was delivering and it was long. I would take water, magazines, snacks, etc. Don't forget a sweater or cozy jacket.

I know you are enjoying the count down.

Know you are jumping at every ring.Grandbabys are the joy of life. But with greatgrands you just can't get your hands on them because the grandmothers hold on to them. LOL

What an exciting time for you. I might suggest that you take a lot of change for the vending machine. Also, you might want to take a blanket. Some of the waiting rooms are really cold. You'll probably be too excited to be cold! Grandchildren are truly a gift from God.
Hugs,
Sweetie

How exciting!

How about some paper and pen to journal as you wait?

Your thoughts and feelings, comments made by everyone as they see him for the first time, observations you make of the nervous/excited parents...

A precious rememberance of a most special time-and mom and dad will be too busy to do it-so a perfect job for Nana.
