Cake In A Crock . . .

Here's a great recipe for 'Chocolate Pudding Cake' in the crock pot.
I found it in my
Taste of Home
Slow Cooker Classics
Cookbook
This rich, fudgy dessert is a cross between pudding and cake.
It's great served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
* Chocolate Pudding Cake *
1 package (18-1/4 ounces)
chocolate cake mix
1 package (3.9 ounces)
instant chocolate pudding mix
2 cups (16 ounces) sour cream
4 eggs
1 cup water
3/4 cup vegetable oil
1 cup (6 ounces) semisweet
chocolate chips
* In a mixing bowl, combine the first six ingredients.
Beat on medium speed for 2 minutes. Stir in chocolate chips.
Pour into a 5-qt. slow cooker that has been coated with
nonstick cooking spray.
* Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or until a toothpick
inserted near the center comes out with moist crumbs.
Serve in bowls with whipped cream or ice cream if desired.
I hope you enjoy this recipe!

Sounds great Carol! That's so funny that you've posted about this because I was going to post later this week about a pudding cake that I made in the oven! I'm going to have to try your recipe!

Take Care!

Wow Carol, this is the cake I posted the recipe for a couple times ago. It was called Too Much Chocolate Cake. That is so funny you can make it in a crockpot. I bet it is delicious, I know in the oven it is outstanding. Think I'll try it your way now.

Hugs,
Chris

I am going to have to get a crock pot. I had one years ago. There was not that many recipes back then. Cake in a crock pot, who knew! Pansies are the first flowers I can plant. I can not do that until early April. I will have to get some fresh flowers for inside!

I don't own a crock pot any more. I guess I never learned how to really use it.
