A Surprise & Friday Shopping. . .

I was surprised & delighted Friday afternoon when I came home from shopping to discover a package on my doorstep! A few days ago I found out that I had won a gift in a giveaway drawing from Marie at http://spunbyme.blogspot.com/ ! What a treat! I excitedly opened the box like a little girl on Christmas morning!

Isn't this an adorable lamp? I just LOVE it! Marie created this sweet gingerbread lamp. I sat it on top of this porcelain canister & tied a ribbon around it to give it a place of prominence on my kitchen window ledge. Marie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing with me! You are a very talented lady!

Yesterday morning Bobby and I did some Christmas shopping then we picked up Kari for lunch. After enjoying a scrumptious meal at Zio's we hit a few more stores. I'm happy to report that my gift list is growing shorter! Almost finished with store shopping, but still have several homespun gifts to work on.

Bobby was tuckered out after shopping with his mom & wife. Time to relax! Poor guy! He's always been a good sport to go shopping with me. Thanks son!!!

GM Carol, thanks for stopping by and looking at my lights. My DH decorates many homes in our neighborhood, we live in a 55+. He loves Christmas as I do. He and his committee decorated the club house yesterday, I do the tree there, but then I'm to busy in my house to do anythinhg else. I only wish I was near my shopping list. I did a lot of cyber shopping, but that's all. I love your lamp too, how nice to get a surprise like that.

Hugs,
Chris
