When I think of George & Abe the first thoughts that
come to my mind are cherry tree & log cabin.
When I was in elementary school we were
taught the little stories about Washington chopping
down a cherry tree & Lincoln living in a log cabin
and teaching himself to read.
Here are some quotes from these great presidents.

Thank you for sharing those quotes. So amazing and so true!
They would cry at what a mess things are. All of there work was so this could not be taken over by the kind of people in office today. What I was just going to say was ( just 33 days until Spring) is a good thing.

Oh Carol...
I think in many ways they would be very distressed.
I do hope, though, that those Americans who have been sitting by quietly while this Country has been led away from God will now stand up and elect those who respect our Creator.

I pray that it's time for the pendulum to swing back the other way and this country wakes up to the fact that it needs to re-establish its belief in God. But not just believe IN God - but to BELIEVE GOD.
OOOHHH...you GO girl! This is a totally awesome post.
The hope I hold onto is knowing God is still in control regardless of the direction our country and people are heading.
Thank God for these men who were placed in their leadership roles at such crucial times in the life of our country!
You're so right. I have an old book of Abe's letters and they're amazing. His sense of right and wrong is something not seen often in politics today.
Blessings,
Marcia
Very well said Carol! Great post on this day. laurie
Great post Carol. I think they would be very sad to see the direction our country is going in. It's time for revival in this land!! Like Becky K, I'm hoping and praying that those silent Americans will stand up and let their voices be heard!
Thanks for the rmeinder that Spring is coming!
I followed you because of your gorgeous profile picture found at Becky K's.
Your thoughts were exactly mine this past Presidents Day. I wondered what the greats would think of where we are since these are such alarming times.
