Old family cookbooks are a treasure! Those recipes are a hoot. Lima beans are one veggie I cannot eat! Also have to admit I have never eaten lamb. It just doesn't sound good to me. However, I'm sure there are some fantastic recipes in that book! I enjoy your "show and tell Fridays."
What a great treasure! I really liked seeing grandmas notes photo...I have letters, and cards from her that I like to look at from time to time...good memories!
It seems odd to think of food as being "retro", but you're totally right. Recipes seem to have a certain life span then new ones appear. Remember when everyone made Jello Salad all the time? I can't remember when the last time I've eaten that.
Carol, How neat that you have that. I just love the pictures in old books, and I always love it when I run across a recipe written in my mother's handwriting. laurie
Creamed lamb, I think I will politely say no thank you. You must really treasure that cookbook. I have a lot of cookbooks. My husband has more, he likes to cook on Sundays. I will admit that I find most of my recipes online, but I still love to sit and look through our collection. Glad to see 35 days until spring! denise

No thanks to the fish and lima beans.
Lima beans would be fine.
But fish is not one of my favorites.
Hubby would say just the opposite.
smile.
However, cookbooks are so much fun.

I think I can pass on those recipes you offered....lol. I think that is such a treasure to have that old cookbook. How neat!
