Indian Summer Sunday. . .

Today was indeed an Indian summer Sunday. Beautiful clear blue sky, sunshine, & mid 80's temperatures. We ate lunch at our favorite Italian cafe along the river. Later in the day we spent a few hours at the Tulsa State Fair. It was very crowded. We drove around for quite a while looking for a parking place. There were so many people, at times you could barely move while we were in the QT Center. Let me just put it this way, I was very glad when we headed home.
Enjoy your evening, I'll check in with you tomorrow.

Hello Carol in Oklahoma....thank you for stopping by my blog. It sounds like you live in the opposite end of the state from where I am. I am in Southern Oklahoma...approx. 1 1/2 - 2 hours away from OKC or Dallas, TX.

I browsed through your blog and LOVE it. I'll be back to visit you. I LOVE it when I "meet" new friends.

Oh, I was going to say....I grew up and my parents are STILL in Houston and they STILL do not have power from the hurricane. They were here for awhile but had to go back due to their jobs. I am so ready for them to retire because they already have a home here that they stay in when they visit.

They live right by Hobby Airport (you can actually see one of the runways) and of course, the airport has had electric. As a matter of fact, their neighbors on one side have had electricity for at least a week but from them onto the other side (it is a smaller grid of people) they still don't have it. The electric company is putting the largest grids of people online first and working their way down. Every time the electricity goes out in their area they are one of the last ones to get it back on... :(
