I've always been so thankful for my family. The memories I have of our family gathering around the Thanksgiving table are very precious to me. All those years growing up I took it for granted that my whole family was together. When you're young you never think that those good times are ever going to end. My parents & grandparents have been gone now for many years, it seems the older I get the more I miss them. Okay, now that I've cried all over my keyboard I'll move on. Time to create some new traditions & memories! I have a plan floating around in my head for special Thanksgiving week decorations & bling. As soon as everything is finished I'll post pictures.

ReplyDeleteI know what you mean, when you are a child you don't realize it. I have good memories of going to my grandmother's and Eric's grandmother's homes. I am hosting Thanksgiving this year and I am doing it up big! :0)

I'm with you Carol, my Mom was in her glory on holidays with her family gathered around her. She never tired of it. But, I'm a lot like my Mom, so I try to fill her shoes a little bit.
