Master Bedroom Transformation

The last space that our sister design team redecorated was the master bedroom.
After we were finished we realized we didn't take a before picture.
Trust me, this room was way overdue for a redo!
The sheers I bought at Target were the perfect color & texture, but the grommets had to go.
Susan hemmed the edges to make them the perfect length.
Once again we used tablecloths from Target to make the curtains.
The colors, gold & greenish blue, are perfect for a restful feeling in the space.
We reused the curtain rod from the kitchen window & added burnished gold rings.
No sewing was needed, we just puddled the extra length.
We rearranged the bed & side tables.
The room looks much larger now.
The girls surprised me with this picture I had admired at Target.
Sorry you can't see the pretty landscape.
The colors go so well with everything.
Another surprise was this fabulous mirror from Target.
A smaller tablecloth was used for the door.
The tieback is two buttoned pieces that came on each tablecloth.
It was cut to fit & a casing was sewn for the rod.

We used items I already had to decorate the walls and side tables.
We recovered my cedar chest with some letter fabric we found at Hobby Lobby.
I just love the new look of my master bedroom.
If my sisters had stayed around for few more days we probably would have redone every room in the house.
We had a blast working together.

  1. It is beautiful! Now I'm sending you a link to visit. I think it would make a sweet touch for your bedroom, but you can just toss it out if you don't like the idea. (I wish I could do it, but I don't have your situation.) Those sisters of yours...what a creative and talented trio you make.

  9. I have found that tablecloths are just the best source of fabric! I find them at thrift stores and elsewhere and then stash them away....because they are huge pieces of fabric!
Tell your sisters they are wonderful (if you haven't already)....they are so special.
