Four Weeks Ago . . .

On Wednesday, October 6th, I was rushed to the hospital in septic shock.

I had surgery for an infection, found out I was a diabetic, and had a light
heart attack. The good news is I am almost healed from the surgery and I'm managing the diabetes. Also after having a heart cath. I found out my heart is very healthy, no blockages. In fact the doctor told the nurse I have the heart of a twenty year old.
He thinks the heart attack was caused by the stress of the infection. No damage.
I'm grateful to God that He watched over me and spared my life.
My wonderful family has been so loving and caring.
Without them I wouldn't be this far along in my recovery.
I'll be back soon doing more posts.
Thanks for stopping by for a visit.

  8. That explains here you have been. I was wondering. It doesn't usually go this long without hearing from your sweet self.

I am so glad you are recovering well.
Diabetes is no fun but the tools that are available now to monitor and treat it are so improved over years past.

    Blessings!

  13. Carol, I admit I was a bit concerned when you had not posted in a while. This is surely a shock. Just know that I understand, completely, having gone through the sudden and unexpected news of a very serious situation that required major surgery. Through it all, I had my ups and downs. But I can truthfully say that I drew closer to the Lord (and He to me) and have come to see many blessings as a result of what I considered an "unwanted" event in my life. May the Lord continue to heal you. All the best, Cindy
